Bryan Burnstein

Bryan currently serves as a Director of Performance Science for Kitman Labs, a performance intelligence team that works with top sporting organizations around the world. They support performance staff and front office stakeholders by bringing insight and alignment to solutions designed to optimize the performance of their athletes. 

Prior to joining Kitman Labs, Bryan spent 12 years with Cirque du Soleil as the Head of Performance Science. While at Cirque, he managed the integration of strength & conditioning, performance nutrition and mental performance initiatives, and supervised assessment protocols and performance data platforms. 

Bryan worked alongside the Coaching and Performance Medicine managers to ensure the durability of their almost 1,800 performers all over the world. As a key link between Cirque du Soleil and many high-performance organizations and researchers around the world, Bryan experienced an up-close look at what some of the best teams are doing to support their athletes and how they build a high-performance culture. 

Bryan has served as Adjunct Faculty for the Global Online Graduate School program at California University of Pennsylvania since 2008. Bryan is a Certified Athletic Trainer as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Performance Enhancement Specialist, Fitness Nutrition Specialist and Advanced Sports Performance Coach. He is a 2002 graduate of Central Michigan University’s Athletic Training Education Program and in 2005 earned his Master’s degree in Human Performance and Injury Prevention from the California University of Pennsylvania.
