After receiving her B.A. in Dramatic Arts and French, Kristi continued her acting training at École Jacques Lecoq in Paris. Upon graduating, she co-founded the international theatre company, Attic People, winning several awards for their devised play, Drip.
Kristi has lived and worked professionally in Berlin as a collaborator, director, actor, puppeteer, mask performer and physical theatre teacher for 14 years. Since 2009, she has been a company member in the mask theatre company, TheatreFragile, specialising in site-specific ensemble theatre focusing on social-political themes.
Kristi had the joy of performing as the Saltimbanco character, Rose Bonbon, in Cirque du Soleil special events from 2006-2012. Other credits include the first foreign language production of the National Theatre of England’s WarHorse / Gefährten. Kristi was a Puppeteer and played the German-speaking role, Nurse Annie Gilbert.
For 3.5 years, she toured the world as a Puppeteer and Artist Coach for Acting in the original cast of Cirque du Soleil’s TORUK – The First Flight, inspired by James Cameron’s Avatar.
Most recently, Kristi has been a part of the creation of the first-ever collaboration between Cirque du Soleil, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering as a Puppeteer and Artist Coach for Puppetry in Drawn to Life, which will premiere in Orlando in 2021.
