Louis-David Simoneau

A natural born athlete and artist, Louis-David flew on a trapeze for the first time at age 14. Two years later he was accepted into the prestigious National Circus School in Montreal. He trained in Cyr wheel, silks, hand to hand, and hand balancing, while specializing in duo trapeze.

Upon graduation Louis-David and his trapeze partner, Rosalie Ducharme, joined the creation of Cirque du Soleil’s Totem and went on to perform their duo act over 850 times.

When Rosalie retired from performing, Louis-David transitioned to solo work, developing an aerial silks number and a Cyr wheel act. He participated in projects and creations around the globe and began to share his acrobatic knowledge by teaching new circus students in various disciplines.

Louis-David then joined forces with Marie-Christine Fournier to create a new duo trapeze act. They were rewarded for their hard work when they won the Golden Grock at the 2014 edition of Vaudreuil-Dorion International Circus Festival. Since then, they have performed worldwide with Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Éloize, Palazzo, Le Noir the Dark Side of Cirque, 45 Degrees, Le Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde, Wintergarten Variete and Cirque de Paname.
